Eckel Acoustic Panels effectively and efficiently absorb sound and reduce noise in spaces small and large—from classrooms and athletic facilities to restaurants and concert halls to libraries and industrial plants. These high performance, durable and versatile panels increase the intelligibility of speech; mitigate distracting, unpleasant and even intolerable auditory conditions; and decrease the risk of harm from exposure to excessive noise.
The pre-engineered panels come in a range of sizes and styles, and can be readily positioned within the host room to achieve optimal noise reduction performance. Available in aluminum or steel, they can be customized and finished to fit and complement any architectural layout and interior design. Easy to install during new construction or as a retrofit item Eckel Acoustic panels are an economical and effective means to controlling noise and creating ideal acoustic conditions.
Eckel Acoustic Panels Significantly Improve Sound Clarity
Gyms, Pools, Auditoriums…all are spaces where sound, if not properly accounted for and treated, can overwhelm a room due to its reverberant properties and become near deafening noise thereby compromising the effective use of the space while simultaneously creating a potentially hazardous health and safety environment.
And it’s not just large and cavernous environments where noise can overwhelm a space…Restaurants, classrooms and even libraries can be noise nightmares if consideration isn’t given to how reverberant sound waves are going to be absorbed in an efficient and effective manner.
Through field measurement and computer modeling we can determine the best acoustic panel layout to achieve the desired or required outcome within budgetary considerations. Collected data is used to devise a noise reduction solution taking into account both physical and auditory site conditions to engineer an acoustic treatment plan. Once installed, Eckel’s acoustic panels turn a noisy room into quieter and more accommodating space better suited to the purpose it was designed for.
Acoustic Panel Installation
Install each panel as indicated on Architect’s drawings and in accordance with Eckel’s printed instructions, using approved anchors and fasteners. In general, panel placement entails approximately 2/3 of the total panels installed on the ceiling and 1/3 of the panels installed on the walls, with even spacing between the panels as per architect drawing and manufacturer instruction.
Since EFPs are independent panels, they can be fastened into place without disturbing existing utilities. This functional approach to acoustic control is less expensive than continuous ceiling or wall treatment.
